Classic Tiramisu

Tiramisu, an iconic Italian dessert, is a harmonious blend of rich mascarpone cream and coffee-soaked ladyfingers. This no-bake treat is perfect for any occasion, offering a luscious combination of flavors that will leave everyone craving more.

Ingredients:

•6 large egg yolks

•1 cup (200g) granulated sugar

•1 ¼ cups (300ml) mascarpone cheese, at room temperature

•1 ¾ cups (420ml) heavy cream

•2 cups (475ml) brewed espresso or strong coffee, cooled

•2 tablespoons coffee liqueur (optional)

•2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder

•1 package (7 oz) ladyfingers (savoiardi)

•Dark chocolate shavings or cocoa powder for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Mascarpone Mixture: Whisk egg yolks and sugar until thick and pale. Fold in the mascarpone until smooth.

2. Whip the Cream: Beat heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Gently fold into the mascarpone mixture.

3. Coffee Dip: Combine coffee and liqueur. Quickly dip ladyfingers into the coffee mixture.

4. Assemble: Layer soaked ladyfingers in a dish, spread half the mascarpone mixture, and repeat. Chill for at least 4 hours.

5. Serve: Dust with cocoa powder or garnish with chocolate shavings before serving. Enjoy!
